PR-4000 FAQs

Q: Do I need the Rear Base Stabilizer?

A: The Rear Base Stabilizer piece is needed if you intend to add on the Lat/Low-Row attachment (and is included with the purchase of that attachment from the rack page) or if you are purchasing the 41" Depth rack and do not plan to bolt it down.

Q: Do I need the Front Foot Extensions?

A: The Front Foot Extensions are needed if you plan to use Spotter arms on the front of your rack and do not plan to bolt down your rack.

Q: Which depth rack is best for me?

A: 24" is great for space constrained gyms, 30" is ideal for most, and 41" is excellent for commercial facilities or those that prefer not to bolt-down their racks.

Q: Do I need to bolt down my rack?

A: We recommend bolting down your rack if you plan to use the front spotter arms without the front feet, or if you plan to use the pull-up bar for kipping movements.

Q: Why is the Clear Coat color more expensive than the other colors?

A: This color is achieved by using a specially prepared steel combined with a metal grinder and a clear powder coat to give it a raw brushed steel look, while maintaining the rust-resistance of a powdercoat. In addition, the rack shows less wear over time due to the finish and clearcoat making it difficult to notice any imperfections.

Q: Which weight horn size do I need?

A: 12" horns are meant to hold larger iron plates (25# and up) or bumper plates, and the 6" horns are perfect for smaller iron plates (10# or less) and change plates.

Q: Will the Lat/Low Row Attachment fit on my 80" Rack?

A: Currently the Lat/Low Row Attachment is only compatible with the 93" Uprights. The 80" version will be released later this year though.

Q: What are the differences between the Flat and Rounded Sandwich J-cups?

A: Both styles are fully UHMW lined to offer complete protection for your bar's knurl. The Flat model has a larger opening that is ideal for oversize/powerlifting bars, while the rounded has a secure "doesn't move" resting point and Dual-lock wraparound design for extra peace of mind with heavy weight.

Q: What other attachments are coming?

A: Currently under development are Monolifts and Jammer Arms. Expected to be in-stock by September/October. We are doing some unique things with them that should make it worth the wait. Two other attachments are also in development and scheduled for release by November. We expect to continually release new attachments for our 4000 and 5000 series.
